Does it snow year round?
No, we generally receive snow at in the wintertime, from time to time.
When are hot tubs available for use?
Our hot tubs are available for hire between 9am and 9pm. Book at reception to avoid disappointment.
Are the ski fields open year round?
No, the ski season generally runs between May/June and August/September (weather dependent)
Are the biking and walking tracks well sign posted?
Yes, all tracks are well maintained and sign posted. Maps are available for purchase from reception. Hire mountain e-bikes from us and read about some of the local mountain bike trails on our blog.
Is there a service station in Hanmer Springs?
Yes, there is a service station located on Hanmer Springs Road. Open 7 days a week between 8:30am-6pm.
Is there a supermarket in Hanmer Springs?
Yes, the Four Square Supermarket is located in the main village and is open daily until 6pm weekdays and 7pm weekends.
How far is Hanmer Springs from Christchurch?
It is a comfortable 1.5 hour drive from Christchurch to Hanmer Springs. Take State Highway 1 out of Christchurch which takes you north. Turn left on to State Highway 7 just north of Amberley. The road is well sign posted and you will find the Park on right hand side on the way into Hanmer Springs Village.
What time can we check in?
Check-in is from 2pm. Please advise us if you are arriving earlier in the day and we will endeavour to have your room ready for your arrival.
What time is check out?
Check out is at 10am. Please let reception know if you require a late checkout and we will do our best to help.
What are reception hours?
Reception is open 8.30am to 8.30pm daily from September holidays to end of April holidays. Reception is open 8.30am to 8.00pm from end of April holidays to beginning of September holidays.
What happens if you are going to arrive late?
If you are going to arrive after reception has closed, please let us know in advance so we can leave your key/map and directions out for you. We leave a map out for late campervan arrivals.
What facilities do you have for our children?
